Transfer students must attend New Student Orientation on a date reserved for their school or college. You may select from one of the options below. We know you have some college experience, so these programs are designed to help you understand how things work at VCU.
Full-day transfer orientation: recommended for students who have completed less than 36 credits or students under the age of 22. If you are a transfer student with fewer than 24 credits, you may also participate in the two-day program for first-year students since you are still classified as a first-year student. This program will give you a more immersive introduction to VCU and connect you with other students who are similar in age and experience. To request participation in this program, please email email@example.com or call us at (804) 828-3700.
Half-day transfer orientation: recommended for students who have completed 36 or more credits, students who are age 22 or older or students with more than two years of college experience. Please note that not all majors participate in half-day transfer orientation programs. If a half-day session is not listed as an option for you, your major does not participate and you will need to select and attend a full-day session.
