We hope that you will join us Friday, Nov. 3 through Sunday, Nov. 5, 2017 for Family Weekend -- an exciting opportunity to experience your student’s campus life, meet their friends, connect with other families and enjoy the VCU and Richmond communities. You are invited to participate in this annual fall event year after year as long as your student is enrolled in classes at VCU.
Online registration will open for Family Weekend in late fall. There is a $5 registration fee per attendee for the event. This fee provides each registrant with an access pass granting admission into non-ticketed Family Weekend events, as well as discounts at local restaurants and shops. VCU students and children 2 years of age and under will receive an access pass for free.
In addition, there are ticketed events planned throughout the weekend that you can register to attend. Ticketed events sell out quickly, so don't delay purchasing your tickets once registration opens. If you plan to attend a ticketed event with your student, you must purchase a ticket for your student. When you register, you may also purchase a commemorative Family Weekend t-shirt to serve as a memento of the great time you'll have with your student on campus!
Please note that all Family Weekend fees are nonrefundable.
Family Weekend check-in will begin on Friday, Nov. 3, and will be held from noon until 7 p.m. On Saturday, Nov. 4, check-in will be held from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. Check-in on both days will take place in the Virginia Rooms located on the second floor of the University Student Commons. When you arrive at check-in, you will receive your Family Weekend access passes, special event tickets, any purchased apparel and a Family Weekend tote bag.
If you are unable to come to check-in during the hours mentioned above, please send your student to check-in on your behalf.
